Welcome to the Class 10 web page!!!
It's Spring! Well, it's the Spring Term anyway!
This term the children in Year 4 will be studying in detail the Tudor period of British history. They will be finding out about the Tudor Kings and Queens, as well as discovering what life was like for both rich and poor people during this time. They will have the opportunity to research information about the Tudors and write a newspaper report about the Battle of Bosworth. The children will also be learning all about the life and work of the incredible Mr William Shakespeare. Through this topic there will be plenty of opportunities for exciting art and D&T projects, as well as music, dance and drama performances!
In science and geography we will be continuing the theme of electricity but will focus on the importance of the wind as a form of renewable energy, alongside a study of ‘Energy Island’ in Denmark.
In Religious Education this term the children will be finding out about rules that we find all around us and about the Jewish Faith. In PE they will be learning a range of Tudor dances and will also be participating in swimming lessons on Tuesday mornings at Elfed High School, beginning on January 16th.
A Christmas message from Class 10. Nadolig Llawen!!!
Our Jesse Tree has 27 decorations on it representing various Bible stories leading up to the birth of Jesus. We made one decoration each and added them to the tree throughout Advent.
We recently led a Key Stage 2 assembly in the hall, where we presented lots of poems we had written this term about Autumn and the wind. It was a great success!
Here is a link to all 28 wind GIFs that we created using the 'Stop Motion' animation App. They have been put together as a single video. We hope you like them!
