Wellbeing at Mountain Lane

Welcome to our new Wellbeing page, we are your 'Wellbeing Ambassadors' and our role in school is to help you to look after yourselves and your wellbeing.

As a school we want to develop everyone’s wellbeing. There are 5 different ways we can improve our wellbeing and help us to feel good about ourselves. These are:

Wellbeing Week- Wythnos Lles

3rd June 2019

We recently had a 'Wellbeing Week' and the children thoroughly enjoyed participating in many activities to raise awareness of the importance of Wellbeing. We had several visitors to school who worked with the children to complete different activities.

  • Wendy Ostler completed some Yoga sessions with Years 3, 4 and 5.
  • Sarah Rodger- Burns from Mynydd Isa School introduced mindfulness to Year 3 and 4.
  • North Clwyd Animal Rescue delivered assemblies to all year groups and brought along Misty the dog with them.
  • Owen Jones, a previous pupil worked with Reception, Year 1 and 2 on some dance sessions.
  • Rhys Jones worked with all year groups on some team building activities.
  • Elfed High School delivered an assembly to KS2 on Growth Mindset and followed this with some workshops for Year 3 and 4.
  • Spectrum came and worked with Year 2 and 6 to discuss the importance of healthy relationships.

On the Friday afternoon of Wellbeing Week, parents were invited in to classes to participate in some Wellbeing activities with the children before attending a Parents Cafe which was kindly funded by the Fundraisers For Mountain Lane.
