Croeso i'r tudalen Dosbarth 11!!! Welcome to the Class 11 page!!!
It might only be February but it's the Spring Term at school!
This term we are studying a topic called ‘Protecting Our Planet’, focusing on current environmental issues. We will be considering how we can make changes to support our world and protect its future. We will be encouraged to suggest our own ideas for learning about the topic, as well as using our growth mindsets! In science we will be investigating materials, which fits in well with the main topic.
We are also going to do a mini-topic on music. This will start with us deciding which areas of music interest us, and activities will be decided upon from there.
In P.E. we will be taking part in gymnastics and dance to develop strength and control of our movements. Later in the term we will begin cross country sessions, as well as visiting Nant BH to carry out some very adventurous activities!
Our Eisteddfod performances were a big hit! We wrote, produced and sang our own "Beth wnest ti..." songs. Here are the 3 final class performances (from top: Criccieth, Conwy, Caernarfon).
We have been working on short routines in our gymnastics sessions. Here are two of them.
We used trundle wheels and metre sticks to measure the lengths and widths of rectangles on the playground. Once back in class we calculated their perimeters and areas.
We made board games based on 'inventions' and 'journeys of discovery'. Then we got to play them!
We have been working hard for the upcoming 'Dragon's Den'. Here we are practising our pitches.
Collecting data from each other prior to drawing bar-line graphs.
Buddy reading with our friends from Year 2!
Making a right old mess as we create collages inspired by William Morris.
